Halloween Costumes

So I'm quite miserable today. Not really feeling like doing much. But I have something fun to share with you. Last night, I realized something. Baby C will be here before Halloween! And I needed to buy some costumes! I'm almost positive we won't do anything. But I live in a "Family" neighborhood now. So I'm going to try and handout candy. There are so many kiddos around here. :)

But I thought it would be fun to dress up. Even if it's just for a picture or 2. So I went hunting for something cute! This is what I found...

I really like this little flower. It's $49! But I figured, it's going to be my little girl's 1st Halloween. Oh, and Barracuda ended up buying it. He thinks Baby C will look adorable. I might be a little biased here, but I think she will look beautiful! :)

I'm was thinking about this bee costume for me. $20 isn't bad. And it covers everything! You know, I'll only be a few weeks postpartum. No need to scare people. I figure I can wear some leggings and my black ballet flats. So cute!

So I know, people are going to think I'm nuts for buying Halloween costumes. Especially this flower one. But this is Baby C's 1st holiday. And I think it's important to start fun memories right away.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a lot of fun times in my childhood. And I want it to be very different for my little one. It was kinda funny. Last night, I was looking at these costumes. And talking to Barracuda. He didn't hesitate. He just ordered them. It was really sweet of him too! Because he didn't have to. Now I'm anxious for Halloween to get here. XOXO

28 Weeks

Dear Baby Girl,

We're 1 week closer. And your mommy is getting excited! I just can't believe we've made it this far! But you're so healthy. And that is all I want. A healthy baby!

I know this has been a tough week. Your mommy has cried too much. And you're probably confused in there. But I'm making things better for us. I promise. I promise you are going to have a better life than I had. I just need to get this together.

We had a great holiday weekend last weekend. We spent lots of time with your Auntie Lola, Uncle Guy, and Uncle Barracuda. Your Uncle Guy had a really great weekend. And it was neat to be there. One day, you'll get to go to those fun things too! And celebrate his successes.

And we just hung out on Sunday. Your Auntie Lola is the best cook ever! And she made us an amazing meal. We spent lots of time with our friends. Both the furry kind, and the 2 legged! :)

This week, one of my good friends C had her little girl. And we went to go visit her. Just holding her little girl made me think of you. I can't wait to be able to hold you in my arms. And I just can't wait to see you 2 playing together. Yes, your mommy has lots of friends having babies too. And we're already talking about play dates. I'm so excited!

You keep growing strong. And leave the rest to me. I know things are going to work out good for us. Because I've been praying to God for it. But I really can't wait to meet you!

XOXO Your Mommy

Happy Valentine's Day T!!!

T,

I know that we've had a rough few months. But I LOVE YOU! You're still the love of my life. The ONLY man that I want in my life. :)

I really do hope that you have an amazing day! I know that you have to work. We're both going to be working. But I want you to enjoy this day as much as possible. I want you to know how much I love you. And that I'll always be here for you. I'm your wife. Forever. And I know we can work through all of this. We can find our way back to each other. And we can be just as happy as we were a year ago.

I wish that I could make you some amazing meal. That I had gotten to wake up in your arms. But that's just not were we are right now. But I do want to see you. I want to have dinner with you. I want to share in your life. I want us to have a life together again. I LOVE YOU HUBBY!!!

XOXO Your Wifey

Merry Christmas

I just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. It's such a magical time of year. A time that's definitely made for friends and family.

I didn't have any plans for the holiday. But some friends invited me over. So I've decided to really enjoy the day. To have fun with the kiddos. And really Thank God for my life. I'm blessed with some amazing friends. And to me, that's the best Christmas present I could have. :) XOXO

Halloween

Halloween is less than a month away. And I've desperately been slacking. I have to dress up for work. Yes, I'll be working. But I'm also on "Candy duty" for the team. So it should be fun.

Last night, I finally ordered my costume. This witch. What do you think? I'm a little nervous that the skirt part is going to be too tight. I've got some "lady curves." All I can do is cross my fingers. Oh, and try it on when I get it.

I like that this costume is more covered up. I've never been one to show a lot. I just don't have one of those bodies. Or maybe I'm lacking the confidence. Whatever. I like this costume. And it was under $30 with shipping! Including the hat and broom. :) XOXO

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there! And to the women who are like moms. Women like my grandma. That make us feel loved, cared for, and safe. I miss my grandma so much. And just wish that I could spend today with her. To show her just how much I love her. Just to give her a big hug and say I love you.

I guess it really touched home, for me, last night. My hubby was working. And so many of the guys had their moms around. It's a tradition for them to do it. And they were all enjoying themselves. Giving their moms special gifts. Enjoying time with them. It was so special.

And all I could think of, was not having my grandma. I think I've come to terms with my mom. She has never really wanted to be my mom. And my mother-in-law, I've never met her. Which is really unfortunate. But my grandma, she is so special to me. I just wish that I could have a few minutes with her.

But I did want to wish all the women out there a very special day! Happy Mother's Day! And Thank You so much for being so amazing. Your love has deeply touched another human being. XOXO

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! I'm really excited about today. T and I are going to cook us a little dinner. And later, we're going to meet some friends. To help them hide eggs for the little ones. Should be a fun day. And it's definitely been nice to have a Sunday off. It doesn't happen most. But I definitely enjoyed sleeping in today! Hope everyone has a great day with their family and friends. :) XOXO

Red Headed Slut

I shouldn't admit it, but the Red Headed Slut is my favorite drink. I don't even remember how it happened. But since I've known T, this has been my drink of choice. I just enjoy it. It's girly, not too crazy, and fun. :) T, he prefers beer. I'm not a big fan of beer. But you know, it's all good.

What got me thinking about drinking? It's almost New Year's. And we were making some plans. Being responsible. That's important. If you're going to drink, you need to be responsible. And plan ahead. No drinking and driving.

Sorry, I didn't want to go all "Back-to-School" special on you. Especially when I'm talking about my favorite drink. But it's important to stay safe. :) XOXO

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! It's an absolutely beautiful morning here. :) T and I have decided to spend Christmas at home together. Just the 2 of us. We're even attempting to cook. Although, it's a precooked ham, mashed potatoes, that sort of thing. But we're trying!

We've definitely started some holiday traditions of our own! And one day, it will be nice to tell our kiddos all about them and how they started. But for today, we're just going to hangout. You know, we're going to enjoy our son, W. He's a good boy. And Santa even brought him some presents!

Merry Christmas from all of us! XOXO

Christmas Tree

We managed to chop down a Christmas tree this morning. And drag it through the snow. To T's truck. And we finally got it home. While searching for an appropriate picture for this post, I found this one. Not exactly what we have, but we have a tree.

T got it into the tree stand. And it's standing outside. On the porch. Because it's still covered in snow. We're hoping some of it falls off before we bring it inside.

But I'm pretty excited. 1st off, we have a Christmas tree! 2nd I've never had a real tree! 3rd, it's our first Christmas together. This is going to be so much fun! I just can't wait! Oh, and we also bought a bunch of Christmas decorations. :) I'll be doing lots of decorating this week while T is out of town. XOXO

Happy Turkey Day!

Happy Turkey Day! I'm so excited today! It's my favorite holiday. I really like to eat. And well, we managed to get some good dinner plans going. We're going to have dinner with some friends. Yay!

T and I are going to take some pies. Don't worry, I didn't bake them. I'm just not that talented. Instead, we ordered them from the bakery on Monday. And picked them up last night. They smell so yummy!

I can't wait to eat. And just hangout with friends. I hope you have a great day! Happy Thanksgiving. :) XOXO

Pumpkin Pie

Nothing says Thanksgiving like pumpkin pie. And I was considering making some. I looked up some recipes on YouTube. And this is what I got. Who makes pies from an actual pumpkin? This is so far beyond my skills!

And when I went to the store for some canned pumpkin, they didn't have any. How do I know about the stuff? Well, I used to eat it when I was little. Out of the can. Shhh! Don't tell my mom. She would have killed me!

But I just glad that we're picking up some pies from the bakery. I never realized how much work went into making a pie. Um, ya. My mom always used to buy them from Costco. Maybe by next year, I will have mastered the pumpkin pie...from a real pumpkin. XOXO

What Are We Going to Do?

We're still not home. But I've been thinking about Thanksgiving. Which is weird when you're in a tropical paradise. But it's this week. And since we're on our "own" this year, what are we going to do? Um, ya. Neither me or T are good cooks. Maybe we're just going to go out for dinner. Because I'm not really good at these things.

It doesn't help that we aren't home. But something will work out. At least I hope so. Because I really like Thanksgiving food. Oh, and the leftover sandwiches. :) If only I could cook... XOXO

Happy Halloween :)

So our friends are having a little get-together. And T and I are going. Yup, we brought our costumes with us. Because T is actually working right now! I'm going to be on "Candy Patrol" for the 1st part of the night. So it should be pretty fun.

Right now, I'm just relaxing. Eating some mini candy bars. And trying to talk myself into my Halloween costume. But I'm determined to have a good time tonight. I know T and are going to enjoy ourselves.

Happy Halloween! XOXO

A Couple of Costumes...

This might be the 1st time I've ever been in a serious relationship at Halloween. Definitely, the 1st time I decide to dress up in a "Couple's costume." But T wanted to do something fun like this.

It took us forever to decide on a costume. He wanted 1 theme, I wanted another. We finally agreed on Betty and Barney Rubble. I'm pretty sure both of our costumes were under $60. ;)

T tried on his costume right away. Just to play around. I think he looks cute. I'm just not so sure about mine. I mean, I've got "Thunder thighs." I'm just glad my legs are mostly hidden. Actually, all my "trouble spots" will be hidden. :) XOXO
